Want to check the weather without leaving the house?  The Pulse donut is a clue for how sunny it is...and more.

In real time, we're looking at:

  • how much power (in kilowatts) is being generated from Energise Ōtaki's solar panels at Ōtaki College

  • what percentage of the panels' capacity is being used right now. ​The sunnier it is, the bigger the percentage shown. 

​

Using electricity so close to its source means less power is lost along the lines; it's clean power plus energy efficiency for the win[d]. ​

What's next for Ōtaki Energy Pulse?​ ​Stage Two: including information from other other renewable energy sources in Ōtaki.   Stage Three: adding in Ōtaki’s carbon emissions and energy use, and the positive impacts of actions we’re taking together.
